A Great Chamber

I am thrilled that I have found a great Chamber of Commerce to be a part of here in Morrisville, NC. While it's true that I joined the Morrisville chamber because I happen to live here, I've discovered that it's a really great place to be. They are very active, with seminars and events throughout the year. And, every single person has been so nice, and extremely helpful. One, in particular is Frank Reed with BNR Marketing. He is currently doing a 4-part seminar on Internet Marketing. I have learned so much from the seminars, but what I really like is reading his blog. He has lots of really great information about building and optimizing web sites in order to effectively market your site. Feel free to check it out at www.frankthinking.com. And, if you're a member of the Morrisville chamber, and you want to learn from Frank personally, sign up for the seminars at www.morrisvillenc.com.

Starting Over

Well, here I am again - I know you thought I disappeared from the face of the planet, but we are here in North Carolina. I'm always optimistic about how quickly I can get things done, but I'm afraid that only gets me into trouble. :) We've been here for two months now - I can't believe it. How quickly the time flies. We're still putting the house together and getting settled, but I promise to post photos as soon as I can. Lots of people are asking for them.

I am building the business out here, and you may notice a few small changes already. I've decided to change the name of my wedding and portrait business from True You Photography to Christa Davidson Photography. The True You site and email will still work for a while, but eventually it will all switch over to www.ChristaDavidson.com.

The most exciting adventure, though, is my venture into commercial and advertising photography. I have teamed up with Vernon Wentz and Mari Salas of ad imagery (www.adimagery.net) to provide premium commercial photography nationwide. We now serve San Antonio, Dallas and Raleigh/Durham, and soon, the US. I'm so excited to be a part of this amazing team of talent, and I can't tell you how honored I am to be building a business with them. We are updating the web site with some new content, in addition to adding my images to theirs, so keep checking back. We'll have a new and improved site that includes all the locations and staff very soon!!

Thanks for checking in. I hope you all are doing well. Feel free to shoot me an email - I'd love to hear from you!

Time to say goodbye, and hello!

Well, the time has come for us to move. We'll be leaving the Dallas/Fort Worth area at the end of June. I'll be starting over in Raleigh, North Carolina when we arrive in July. I'm so excited to be starting this new adventure, and while I'll miss all of my wonderful clients here in Flower Mound (and beyond,) I am thrilled to be continuing my business in such a beautiful part of the country.

Feel free to call or email me anytime. I would love to hear from you! I will continue to blog, but we've been so busy, I don't get to it as often as I should. Definitely something I'll work on... :)

Thank you so much! All of you have been so wonderful to me.

Love, Christa

Jackie and Chris

Well, I've only had enough time to pull out some favorites, but I wanted you to see them. Jackie and Chris got married at the amazing First Baptist in Downtown Dallas. As usual, Meghan Mazzola was so easy to work with. She's so sweet, and extremely helpful. Everything went so smoothly. Afterwards, we hopped over to CityPlace for a reception on the 42nd floor. Talk about a view! It was so much fun absolutely beautiful, and the food was amazing. The DJ, Austin with ACE DJ service, was really great. He kept everyone moving all night - well, till midnight anyway. :) Thanks, Austin!

As usual there are way too many favorites, and trust me there are more than what I could post, but these are my top eight. Congratulations, Jackie and Chris! Thanks for letting me a part of your day!

Look at that attitude! So classy, so fun.
On the elevator on the way up to the 42nd floor.

Look at these beautiful girls - they had so much fun!

This is Jackie's niece, Savannah Grace. She is such a little angel!

Finally...

Well, I know it's been a long time coming, and it's finally here - the new web site! Check it out at www.CapturetheTrueYou.com.

I've been so busy this year, and with the new web site going live, I haven't taken the time to update my blog like I should. Thanks for sticking around. :) I'll post more later today and try to catch up a little. I've been doing lots of really cool photo shoots, including some for Central Hardwoods that are really neat. I'll post a few of those later, too.

Plus, I've photographed two weddings in the last two weeks, and there are so many really great photos to share. Keep an eye out for those.

In the meantime, check out my new site and enjoy the music. My friend Tish recorded that first song, Smile, just for me - wasn't that nice? She'd been working on it for a while, and when I told her I was looking for music for my site, she and Paul recorded it and sent it over. I LOVE it, and I'm so impressed with their talent. Thank you so much for letting me use your stuff, guys! If you want to know more, go to www.garceauproductions.com.

I'll be back with some photos... see you then!

Leah and Stephen

I just pulled out a few of my faves so that I could share them. Leah and Stephen were really great to photograph. This wedding was so much fun, and beautiful because of the bright red plaid. They were even led in and out of the ceremony by a bagpiper! It was truly unique, and so beautiful. Thanks so much for letting me be a part of that day with you guys!

So many weddings...

My good friend Karen and I have been really busy with lots and lots of weddings, and they are so beautiful that I want to share them all. The first one I have to post is Kara and Lenard. Not only were they absolutely beautiful people, they were SO much fun! Those guys are the best I've worked with in a while - so cool, super nice, and it helps tremendously that they were all so handsome. The entire bridal party was really great. I enjoyed it so much that I couldn't wait to get some photos on the blog.

Stonebriar Country Club is so beautiful, and the ceremony was outside, just before sunset. It was gorgeous. I have so many favorites, that I couldn't put them all on here. Click on the title to see more, but here are a few faves to hold you over. :)

J - this one's for you... :)
